ELIGIBILITY:

You may claim for this service payment if you:
  • Are a New Zealand citizen, or are ordinarily resident in New Zealand; and
  • Have a medical condition that has caused you to lose your hair (like treatment for cancer, alopecia or other scalp conditions that cause hair loss).

How to make a Wig & Hairpiece subsidy claim.

Your GP or medical specialist will explain the payment process and provide you with a medical certificate. From there, simply visit us at Custom Hair Company to choose the wig, hairpiece, or hair system that feels right for you. Once you've made your selection, you can either ask us to submit a claim to Sector Operations on your behalf, or you're welcome to lodge the claim yourself.
